How it Works
Stop by the Children’s Help Desk with your North Riverside library card to fill out a registration form.
You’ll receive a folder with a set of reading logs, book suggestions and more. Reading prizes are awarded at various levels, including book bags and prize books.
When Should I Start?
The earlier the better! Reading to your child provides developmental, language and literacy benefits – as well as the social/emotional benefits of sharing time together.
What Should I Read?
Read anything you or your child like! Ask staff for suggestions – we LOVE to recommend books!
How Can I Get More Reading Log Pages?
Send an email to youthservices@nrpl.info to let us know what you need, and we’ll send them to you as an email attachment. Or, stop by the Children’s Help Desk.
